E273 Class – March 14-17, 2016

CAFM, in association with Connecticut DEEP, hosted the E273 class for municipal floodplain managers from March 14-17, 2016 at the CT Fire Academy in Windsor Locks, CT.  This class is primarily aimed at floodplain managers who are relatively new to their positions and have less than five years of experience.  Mr. Jerry Brems from Ohio, Mr. Chris Markesich from FEMA Region I, and Ms. Diane Ifkovic from Connecticut DEEP instructed.  Mr. Robert Desaulniers from FEMA Region I also provided assistance helping those present understand the insurance aspects of the NFIP.  Based on the course evaluation forms, the instructors were very well received and reviews for the class were excellent.

An opportunity to take the CFM exam was offered on Friday, March 18 following the course.  Several folks attended and we look forward to welcoming them to the ranks of Certified Floodplain Managers!
